I’ve heard some people refer to it as Soviet wave too I’ve even heard the band themselves refer to their music as post punk in several interviews I guess the genres overlap? Whatever it is, it’s awesome music.

I know absolutely nothing about Russian post-punk, but if you want to extend this to Warsaw Bloc post-punk, I can heartily recommend Kult (and Kazik, the singer). A Polish band going back to the 80s, there's definitely a strong punk influence, but also other influences such a folk, rock and even hip-hop/experimental jazz.

I can't understand the lyrics, but my Polish friend who introduced me to the band did translate some, and they seem pretty good too.

As with any artist this prolific, it's not all gold, but there's lots of good tracks.
