Hey guys. I'm looking for names of bands and musicians from the 70's and 80's that played synth oriented music. I'm talking about real vintage/retro. not synthwave etc
I know mike oldfield, brad fiedel and jan michael jar, and I want listen to others as well. Big thanks.

Ok. I checked how off my memory is.
So...he wasn't before the others. What i had in mind was like this wikipedia ingress.
Gary Numan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gary Anthony James Webb (born 8 March 1958), known professionally as Gary Numan, is an English singer, songwriter, composer, and record producer. Born in West London, he first entered the music industry as frontman of the new wave band Tubeway Army. After releasing two albums with the band, Numan released his debut solo LP The Pleasure Principle in 1979, topping the UK Albums Chart. He achieved his peak of mainstream popularity in the late 1970s and early 1980s with the No. 1 singles "Are 'Friends' Electric?" and "Cars", but maintains a cult following.
Numan is considered a pioneer of commercial electronic music, and his signature sound consists of heavy synthesiser hooks fed through guitar effects pedals. He is also known for his distinctive voice and androgynous "android" persona.[8] In 2017 he received an Ivor Novello Award, the Inspiration Award, from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors.

Music libraries can be another good place for 70's and 80's synth music. Focus on the mid-seventies to mid-eighties. Bruton, BMI, Patchwork, KPM, Edimerc... Also, crate-diggers such as https://www.youtube.com/user/sonneimmage do a good job of uploading old stuff only found on vinyl.
Some artists to watch out for...
Alan Hawkshaw
Beaver and Krause
Bernard Krause
Brian Bennett
Geoff Bastow
Trevor Bastow
Dick Hyman
Eduard Artemyev
Georges Rodi
Mort Garson
