Just out of curiosity, I spent around $700 once I calculated it all.
You can pick the amount and if you feel like it, you can announce the currency you paid with in a post.

I've spent $118 on a Soundiron Venus woman's choir bundle and a MPC Live tutorial. Probably going to buckle on the $99 V Collection 6 upgrade.
It's pretty much hardware purchases for the rest of the year, a new MIDI peddle board, a guitar pre for the MPC line inputs, and parts for a vintage tube amp I'm going to restore. I will probably upgrade DP9 if DPX comes out as well, if they add in things I want etc. of course.

Pretty much exactly 2k, slightly more than half of it on hardware. Most of it I had planned for.

I've looked at kontakt libraries, but thought I should stay away lest it become as bad as my effect and synth purchases.machinesworking wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 11:21 pm I've spent $118 on a Soundiron Venus woman's choir bundle and a MPC Live tutorial. smart
That's great, but this is for software only
So hopefully you put the amount you spent on software only in the poll (not that it really matters, but for consistencies sake)
Maybe I should do a Hardware one next ?

Except for the first 3, your options are all wrong, there are always considerable gaps of 50...

Ah right, too late to change the poll now because it will end up messing up the results.fluffy_little_something wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 11:49 pmSteps of 100, obviously...V0RT3X wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 11:47 pmOk what would you have done then ?fluffy_little_something wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 11:46 pm Your options are wrong, there are always considerable gaps...

It's screwed up either way since your options exclude almost 1000 of those 2000 dollars/euros

The most obvious example of obsessive compulsive I have in sample libraries are string libraries. I have:V0RT3X wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 11:36 pmI've looked at kontakt libraries, but thought I should stay away lest it become as bad as my effect and synth purchases.machinesworking wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 11:21 pm I've spent $118 on a Soundiron Venus woman's choir bundle and a MPC Live tutorial. Cinesamples Cinestrings
Kirk Hunter CS2
East West Symphonic Platinum
IK Mirislov 2
Plus of course Komplete Ultimate 10 with Session Strings Pro etc.
Most of what I do could have been covered by the included library in
Mach Five 3, Kontakt etc. I just like stings.
Beyond strings though, I'm careful and considered. Venus fills a gap that the ancient choirs in IK Mirislov 2 covers.

At least with these screwed up poll options you know I'm not an adbot trying to get marketing information off peeps.fluffy_little_something wrote: ↑Thu Nov 29, 2018 12:04 am It's screwed up either way since your options exclude almost 1000 of those 2000 dollars/euros
