Watched the movie Fast Color last night and X Ray Spex is prominent on the soundtrack so I listened to their 1978 album "Germfree Adolescents" getting ready for work this morning - was only familiar with the singles before - and it sounded really fresh for a 40+ year old album. Guess that's the benefit of not slapping date locked synths and effects over everything. You can tell no-one involved was overthinking at any stage whereas these days it feels as though people are spending as much time working on a 3 minute pop song as Pink Floyd did on DSOTM.
