I am considering setting up a plugin development company that deals with educational tools for audio production. I have an implementation of a simple compressor which follows josh Reiss's paper ‘Digital Dynamic Range Compressor Design— A Tutorial and Analysis’ which I intend to make open source to develop with the audio programming community. It would act as a free giveaway plugin to inspire a kickstarter campaign to help fund the project.
With the backing from kickstarter the company would then work towards creating a series of educational plugins. A compressor being the first to counter the giveaway.
I am writing up a business plan and feeling inspired. Pm for more details and i'll link you to the git. I am a sound engineering graduate and an enthusiastic plugin developer however i feel this project requires the involvement of more senior developers.
