i don't understand..
everybody says vst3 is a over-engineered, confusing mess..
but i actually like it a lot better than both vst2 and lv2..
(i never touched au or aax, etc)

i'm not using the steinberg provided code/classes or their macro-mess or anything like that, just inherit from the barebones interfaces.. am i doing something horribly wrong?

VST3 is really well done. Silent flag is super helpful. Unlike AAX, it's actually using genuine COM, not COM + some C++ ABI here and there.
