I'm curious why some u-he instruments have the "singing envelopes" and others do not. I'm referring to what I consider "correct" retrigger behavior of EGs as found in analog monosynths, where a new note played while the previous note is still releasing begins the attack from the current EG level rather than 0.
-- A.C.E. has a switch giving the user a choice of singing envelopes or not.
-- Diva and Tyrell have singing envelopes.
-- Hive and Bazille do not have singing envelopes.
-- I've read that Zebra 2 does not have singing envelopes but I understand it's planned for Zebra 3 to have them.
I'm just curious what the rationale is.

Digital synths usually don't have them. Analogue synths - poly and mono - usually do.
ACE was supposed to have them originally, but there was a bug. So when the bug was fixed, we added the choice.
