Part of that is available in Reviver which I really like https://www.fieldingdsp.comlunardigs wrote:Something of a feature I'd like to see might be two large knobs: EVEN and ODD. Maybe macro views too, like Presswerk where we get say, Pentode, Triode and Tape?
I'd also love to have a feature which could allow me to easily isolate very specific harmonics and filter out everything else.
When can we expect a standalone saturation/overdive/distortion effect from U-he?

Hmm, interesting ... wish they had linux builds I could try.medienhexer wrote:Part of that is available in Reviver which I really like https://www.fieldingdsp.comlunardigs wrote:Something of a feature I'd like to see might be two large knobs: EVEN and ODD. My real thought on this whole subject of petitioning U-he is double fold. First, I'd love to see a product resulting from their insight here--'the spirit of analog,' in the same vein as Diva, Satin, Presswerk, etc.--not another generic Juce plugin.
Two, I want a Linux build.
I made the joke earlier about slamming my cpu, which I meant. Of course, this isn't the whole picture. Yet, generally speaking, lackluster distortions, reverbs, you name it, seems to be about truncated response--for economy. Plugins like this are really only useful with a LP if you ask me.
Urs once said something like 'U-he, the company of wrecking your cpu,' which is my poor paraphrase. This is the difference though as I see it. There's plenty of low quality, generic, economical plugins out there; which I shall not spend my money upon. Moreover, the LV2 (linux) world of plugins are free and plenty, plus very good sounding! ... I want to see what U-he can bring to the game though. I think they'd make a very good device as called for here.

I'm on board with you and irl I've never used multiband on a distortion plugin with any likeable results, that just seems weird. Their gain modeling is top game though and I've preferred it over FabFilter and many others.cron wrote:I never liked the sound of the crossovers in Maul. It was difficult to make a multiband sound which 'meshed'. I appreciate there was a lot of flexibility in that bands could be significantly overlapped (or even 'underlapped' - leaving parts of the spectrum empty), but it just wasn't for me. I ended up using Ohmicide most of the time. For single band work, Maul was my go-to for a good few years before plugs like SGA1566 and The Scream arrived.dangayle wrote:Maul was so close to being it, but I feel it was overburdened with LFOs and stuff. Don’t get me wrong, they were interesting, but I would rather have had just the straight up distortion/overdrive without all that complexity.mihai wrote:This would be dope. I'm honestly disappointed Fxpansion dropped Maul since it sounded very rich and had quite some power. Urs... I think you want to make the best distortion plugin. Unless that means taking two forevers to release Zebra 3, I'll take Zebra 3 instead. But like now. thx
Oh yeah, distortion plugin...
Hey, Urs, what's up? You've made the best synth so how about a serious gain plugin? No multiband, just good ol' gain options. You don't need to post here, just answer with a finished plugin. kthx

An old thread revival - looks like it won't happen, but would love Jaws Wavefolder as a standalone effect either in Uhbik 2.0 or just on its own. Percentage chance <5%?

It's on our "good to have" list. Can't attribute a percentage to it.noiseboyuk wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 9:48 am An old thread revival - looks like it won't happen, but would love Jaws Wavefolder as a standalone effect either in Uhbik 2.0 or just on its own. Percentage chance <5%?
