Hi!

I hope this is the right forum for this request, but i would really love to do sounds like these
(Sounds and demos by the awesome Mike Penzini on a Sub37) in Diva.

1) Funky lead 1

2) Funky lead 2
https://youtu.be/yHwI0PTn9ck?t=2m15s

3) George Duke Lead
https://youtu.be/4bwja9bsNd0?t=7m44s

I've spent quite some time on trying to re-do them, but I just can't get the right "edge" to it if you know what i mean. I haven't had a chance to get my hands on one of the new Moogs, so what is it that makes them special and kinda hard to re-do their sounds on vintage gear?

Any hints/help/patches appreciated! :)

After quite some time has passed I am now able to answer my own question: Lots of the signature sound from the Sub37 comes from its MultiDrive circuit. If you listen closely you can hear that the signal is split at least into 2 bands. So I was able to reproduce similar sounds by using Diva (or Monark, as it comes a little closer to the rough sounds on the Sub37 imho) and FabFilter Saturn for Multiband Saturation.

Works great for what I wanted to achieve :)

I'm asking Urs for 1-3 pole ladders, filter drive and proper Moog ADSR since forever.
Sub37 6-12db filter + moderate multidrive is really nice.
I guess we will get them one day, just not today.

That would be great... I would love to create Sub 37 sound in Diva...

For the moment, apparently Rob Papen Bit could do the job

In this topic, Howard recreates a patch from Snarky Puppy - Lingus, that is kinda similar to what are you searching for. Does it help you somehow?

Can you tell us your settings on Saturn to reproduce this MultiDrive circuit, or send us the Saturn preset here? I'm actually trying to reproduce a Sub37 sound from Diva, or even Monark, because so far I don't think any vst can reproduce that sounds unfortunately.

The fact that you can't do it doesn't mean Diva, Monark or Legend can't. Please don't put shame on VSTs, better put some saturator.
