Oh I see. Nice to have the Solo and Turbo versions too.
Gotta love rats. I threw an organic one in the bin last night, but the metal ones are keepers

I've got serious G.A.S. especially when it comes to pedals. I've got plenty of vintage and boutique boxes but I must say I've been impressed with some of this latest generation
of Chinese clones. When the Joyo/Biyang stuff first hit I thought they were kinda "meh".
But some of the latest stuff not only sounds good but you can't beat the bang for the buck.
My most recent was one of the TS clones. Like the Rat clone just mentioned, it's nice to have more than one mode. This one does a TS-808 & TS9 both modes sound spot on to these old ears.

I'm not interested in mini pedals at all. I appreciate the idea of wanting to save space on your pedalboard but my feet are big enough that I would probably need to space them far enough apart that I would lose that advantage.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

I don’t like the lack of space to get my fingers on all sides of the knobs on mini pedals either. I have a pretty large pedal board too, so don’t need to conserve space so much.

Mooer makes a pedalboard that perfectly cradles the mini pedals in foam and keeps them stable. All that foam ends up making it the same size as a if there were full-sized pedals inside but it’s quite a bit lighter.

My Chase Bliss Thermae arrived, only had 1 test ride yet but it was amazing. Wondering if I can take the Bicycle Delay off my wish list now.
The silicon FFM3 Fuzz Face doesn't quite seem to match my germanium "Band of Gypies" FFM6 version though. I'm new to all this, and I had already figured I like germanium when I got my first EHX Germanium OD, a few months ago. But the FFM3 was remarkably polite last night, compared to the exhilaratingly unstable FFM6.
My Ram's Head Muff reissue made me feel at home right away, it even says "your GOAT" on the box, and now I have this weird urge, this plan to summon Satan and sell my soul for 3 pairs of vintage tits that can get me into Top of the Pops. Meh.
Meeeh.

This has been my experience with all the really sought after Fuzz Face clones. They are smooth and polite, great for Eric Johnson-style singing lead tones but not so great for the wilder Hendrix tones (ironically, the Eric Johnson Fuzz Face is silicon).
The FFM6 is actually based on the Tychobrahe circuit and isn’t really a Fuzz Face at all. It’s a great pedal.

I’m usually not a fan of pedals that completely take over the sound (ie Earthquaker) but these sound great and they don’t cover up the playing:

Pete Thorn can make anything sound great but the cool thing here is the sounds are quite different from the tones he normally gravitates towards:

I recently got a beautiful Fat Fuzz Factory at a discount, I haven't used it much yet, having 19 fuzzes patched in it's hard to pick one (or two ) but it's bound to become one of my my many favourites. It's obviously a classic, though some people don't seem to like it at all - but I'm fond of both weirdness and fuzz, so I should be fine.Mister Natural wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 5:06 pm regarding the fuzz cptgone - have you tried a the ZVEX FF ? Ordered a €27 B-stock tc electronic Honey Pot Fuzz. To get free shipping, I added the USB hub I've been needing - I didn't even check the price, so much have I become used to Thomann being the cheapest for paraphernalia.
