Bought them both today, and used them immediately to rewrite the core percussion parts of a tune I'd almost finished, except I wasn't yet happy with the drums.
Was able to tweak both synths easily in expert mode, and save new presets to suit the song. The tutorials on youtube were very helpful in understanding how it all worked.
Now happy & smiling, and posted on soundcloud.

RIM Synth as in snare drum rim shots, etc? Seems like that should be part of a snare synth yes?
