Hi -
I am a new user to Autotheory and I purchased both programs (Reasons and the Stand A Lone).
1. I cannot find the manual on your site. When I click help (one the standalone) and try to go to the manual the link is dead (autotheory.net/support/guide) ... get the 404 Page Not Found Message.
2. I want to know if I can import chords (midi) or write my own chords with Autotheory (both Standalone and the one for Reason).
Also .. why is the one in Reason so different than the standalone version? Seems there should be some continuity between both programs to make it easier to manage for the user. Its like learning two different programs.
Thanks,
Craig

The links above will take you to the users guide.
As far as the two different versions go, they are a lot more alike than the GUI makes it seem. The RE format has certain limitations, while the multi platform is not synchronized... The next multi-platform update will include multiple forms of synchronization and a greatly improved workflow which includes a sequencer though.
As far as writing your own chords goes, the Chord Editor offers total customization of chords. In our next update we will offer Open chord assignment where you can assign different chords to whatever Chord Generator keys you want.
