Hi Piero,
Please continue to post videos here. I probably won't add this one to the videos page because the similarity to the others, but I may replace one of your earlier ones with this one, for variation. I do appreciate the videos.

Another good one, Piero. On the Linnstrument Videos' page, I've just replaced your two earlier videos with your two most recent videos. They are on the Owner Videos 3 and Owner Video 4 tabs. Thanks!
In this video, are you aware that you can use the Arpeggiator to perform the repeating 16th note bass line? Simply turn on Switch 2 then holding the note pad while varying pressure.

thank you Roger.
Actually it was meant to use the arpeggiator (like in one of the past songs where i used the last row as restrike, i wanted now to use it to show the feature) but i was a bit confusing by the clock:
When changing from a chord to another, i wanted the arpeggiator to start when pressing the keys (isn't this way called "trigger mode"? i am really ignorant about clock and tempo stuff). But i couldn't find a way. I don't know if depends on the linnstrument or the DAW. So i tried the other way (isn't this called "sync mode"?) but of course when i was in late on a note, it was just not playing (and it was 50% of the time, as i still have to practice chord shifting on the linnstrument in a smooth and precise way)
So i started to search for the trigger mode but then i realized i could do it "by hand" and i just recorded like that and actually forgot about going deeper into the research
Can you maybe help me with that?

I'd be happy to help.
Whether using the internal tempo or external MIDI clock from your DAW, LinnStrument's arpeggiator always maintains a constant timing grid. This means that the position in time of the arpeggiated notes always falls on this fixed timing grid regardless of when you press the notes. If we had designed it so that the arpeggiated notes would start at the moment you pressed the notes, then the timing grid would be reset with the press of each new note or chord, resulting in bad timing unless you have perfect rhythm.
So if using external MIDI clock in order to play in sync to your DAW, you should press the notes slightly earlier than when you wish for the arpeggiated notes to play. If using internal clock, of course you cannot hear any timing reference, but there is no other choice if you wish for the arpeggiator's timing grid to remain constant.

Best one yet.
I think arps are a bit of cheating anyway, sounds better played.
Bitwig, against the constitution.

Thank you Roger, i supposed that was the only way. It would be cool to have something like: the first note plays no matter if you are in time or not, than while keeping it pressed, the other ones are following the clock beat (i mean cool generally, it's not another feature request )
Thank you BobDog
Forgive me for the late reply, these 2 week have been really tough. But today i finally uploaded another clip nothing great, just a quick one.

Here's a quick video of an improvisation I did with a Linnstrument and my Eurorack last week. Enjoy!

My first attempt at a Linnstrument video.

Playing Orange Tree Samples - Evolution Steel Strings. I used six instances of the same patch to get MPE in Kontakt.

Can we still refer to it as "Travis Picking" if there's no actual picking involved (smirk)?timokc wrote:My first attempt at a Linnstrument video.

Excellent melodic sensibilities here. Good voice leading. Had my eyes been closed, I'd have sworn you were playing a real guitar. The LinnStrument continues to impress. Good playing!
Cheers!

Just sharing another video for fun. I'm still learning PowerDirector and keep recording at lower resolutions than I intend. Will hope to have that figured out for the next one.
This was an improvisation, using sounds from Reaktor, Signal by Output, and a few different midi expression pedals for wah and drone effects. Having tons of fun with the Linnstrument.

Btw, thanks John the Savage! I appreciate you checking out the other video.
