Thank you, Piero-- very nice. I like now it shows the various LinnStrument parts, uses expressive control and is a complete song. I've just posted it to the Owner videos 3 page:

Post

Great :) thanks a lot. It was really a lot of fun actually doing it with the linnstrument.

Nice one! Especially the ending with "True Linnstrumentalists use only Linsoft tissues for their sweaty hands" sneaky product placement :-D

Post

hahahaha damn, i didn't notice the tissues till the video editing. And i thought "mmm.. nah, nobody will notice..". First comment: "True Linnstrumentalists use only Linsoft tissues for their sweaty hands". Hahaha :D

Another nice one, Piero. I've added it to the new Owner Videos 4 tab:

Another nice video, good job :)

Is that a Surface Pro you are using there?

Thank you BobDog. No, it's an iPad pro actually

Post

Ah, ok.

So you do the whole thing on the iPad pro in cubasis?

Post

Yes. I do everything in cubasis. Recording midi, routing, fx, etc. then I just do the master in final touch. I just use apps for the sounds.
I wanted to see i far I can push the music production without using any pic or mac. And with synth sounds I guess you can do a lot. In the past I did also ambient music on the iPad, and I never really felt the need of a pc or a better software. But maybe just because my knowledge is really limited.
The most annoying part is that for example you can't use the same app in two different tracks. So you always have to convert it in an audio track. Fine for midi but a bit annoying for fx. But I have no idea how it works wit "real" pro softwares. Of course you can't expect to much from a 25$ software or a 5$ synth. Anyway I am going off topic now.

Just for info: The past week I tried the linnstrument for the first time with a band. They needed a bass player for some rock metal jam. I just used the iPad with a couple of apps (I guess GarageBand and thumbjam). At the end of the jam everyone wanted to try it and they were all really surprised by the potential of the linnstrument. And they told me "ok we don't need a bass player anymore then" :D

Post

Thanks for all the info, very impressive that you have done it all with Cubasis on the iPad Pro.

I am holding back from making any "Bass Player" jokes but it is really good that they liked the Linnstrument, the more musicians that get to see and play with one the better I think.

I've been filling in for a missing bass player in my band by looping my LS128 driving Thumbjam, Beathawk, and Ripplemaker apps on my iPhone. The drummer loves it btw.

Hi everyone
i made another cover. Please tell me if i should stop posting them here, as they are all quite similar...
Bye ;)
