Also a regular at Asheville Synth Club and monthly synth jams at the 604 bottle club in West Asheville. Thanks for the kind words...
Nice! Gotta get together sometime. As a geezer with a 7 year old at home I don't get out much, but I'll have to start making some exceptions!

Well, I tried the one take model with this one, but didn't succeed. The first one was a train wreck. So it's a second taker.

Well, you did good on the second take!

Nice one, Steve. I've added it to the LinnStrument Owner Videos playlist.

You don’t sing like crap. I think you sound very honest and unpretencious. Reminds me a bit of José Gonzales. I think you like singing, so just do it and trust that you have a good voice, and it is yours.

Oh, that's really nice of you LarsDaniel. Thanks a lot :) i didn't know Jose Gonzales, thanks for the suggestion :)

Everything but the drums and vocals were performed on the linn. The solo is at the 2:40 mark:

It's very nice to see how LinnStrument can be useful in such a wide variety of musical styles.

Yeah, nothing wrong with the singing apart from you have the level too low in the mix, probably because you think you sing like crap!
Bitwig, against the constitution.

As a mix engineer, my longstanding rule of thumb is, turn the vocal up till you think it's a little too loud, then turn it up another 2dB and you're probably in the ball park.

Anyway, agreed, I've mixed far worse vocals from bona fide rockstars. 8)

Cheers!

After getting requests from a few people, I did a video on an approach to two handed chord playing. Unfortunately there's more than a bit of wind-baggery going on here as on further review I probably could have made this about a third as long, but I just don't have it in me to do another take. Hopefully some will find it helpful.
