other than turning it off, is there a way to stop monitoring your external gear and listening to recorded clips on track using the HW INSTRUMENT ?

at the moment, i just record everything i wanna record and then tediously go through all my tracks to turn off their HW INSTRUMENT plugins to listen to my recorded content. i'm sure there's an easier way to go about this.

Turn off monitoring in Inspector panel? Should work for multiple selected tracks too.

@antic604 ah, thanks for the heads up

after further investigation, you still have to turn off the HW INSTRUMENT plugin before you can listen to your recorded clips. I wish there was a setting to make it so that clips override the HW INSTRUMENT.

ah, so i figured it out.

i'm nesting/chaining a HW INSTRUMENT inside of a MIDI PROGRAM CHANGE...i thought this was ideal, but apparently it's not.

is there another way of doing this? maybe i should nest the MIDI PROGRAM CHANGE inside of the HW INSTRUMENT instead.

EDIT: ...and that was it! lesson learned.

In hindsight that makes logical sense and is analoguous to other devices in Bitwig - you nest MIDI/Note FX within the instrument, not the other way around :)

Gled you figured it out for all of us! ;) :D
