Here is a thread of Zany ideas to pitch for Bitwig.

Here is zany idea of mine to start.

A synth electric circuit module for polygrid so you can go in real deep in the real world aspects of building a synth. Imagine mixing circuits from different well known synths to produce your own synth masterpiece. It would be a pain to program and most likely impractical but really wicked to see in action.

Post

GPU acceleration, alias / linked clips, sequencer step input, comping, MSEG, stretching clips on the timeline...

Considering how long we've been asking for them, they sound quite 'zany' by now ;)

Removing bugs isn‘t zany....
I would like to have a device which can load Pd patches including controls á la MobMuPlat, but the controls should look like Bitwig controls...
Any device including vsts inside the Grid. Also nested...
A scripter device for Midi like in Logic...

Use GPU audio DSP calculations
Fx teleport style networking
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S49MK2, Studio One, BWS, Live 12. PUSH 3 SA, Osmose, Summit, Pro 3, Prophet8, Syntakt, Digitone, Drumlogue, OP1-F, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Nord Drum3P, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Ok, a real 'zany' idea would be to add kind of node-based visualisation to track's device chain - I can easily get lost with all the nesting, parallel layers, splitters, etc.

Yes! This and MSEG modulator please

Post

Get rid of all other envelopes, MSEG can do the same anyway...
Logarithmic waveform view...

A version of Grid that is connected to the pencil tool so we can draw note phrase and automation shapes generated by a modular back end.

Not a new idea, this is how it works on Bars n Pipes and Temper.

It's fricking awesome.

Couple it with enforced scales .....
Amazon: why not use an alternative

Modulation freezing *

* currently possible by modulating DC Offset, recording its output as audio & then using Audio Sidechain to read that - but that's a lot of work :D

Scripts like the JSFX functionality in Reaper, maybe as an expansion of the controller API. It'd be really cool to be able to leverage the same toolchain to build devices. This thread's about dreams, right?

Modulating an automation lane. As far as i know... not seen anywhere, that would take the cake. Mouah ah ah!

Unless, it is, somwhere. booooo then!

Post

A guitar riff generator modulator.

There is a ton of chord generator but nothing really ever made for proper guitar strumming and jamming. Don't know how it could be done, but i would love such a tool.

And if you want more control

For the second example I would use the note echo, too. So you can modulate the timing.

An MSEG but with each time, level, and curve amount modulatable.

Put your code where you mouth is BWS, make it really modular, split the program in chunks and sell them separately.
If you need a fast and brilliant workflow with advanced MIDI and audio and don't need all this boring native instrument bs. No need for modulation tools? Or you actually do?
Or if you only want to play with beautiful gifs of waveforms and random, generative bleep bleep sounds, with a pensive look stroking your beard (X/F/M), ditch the MIDI and DAW part.

Or buy them all!
