Modify EQ bands to midi notes

I want to get my EQ-settings to follow the midi-notes played, but I am having trouble finding how to do it. Anyone who has done it here?

For example had a small boost at the exact frequency of the note played by the bass.

Use the keytrack modulator. Play an C3 note and put the EQ-band in its proper place. Set the modulation amount to 64.

Afaik this reacts only to audio not midi and can be fooled easily with complex sounds...
Better alternative are Melda EQ´s (even the free one) which got note follow via midi already built in and works perfectly...
