I thought it might be useful to have a thread for announcements of patch uploads to bitwiggers.com, and also to discuss patches that have been uploaded.

I'll start, I suppose. Someone asked on the Grid Farts patch why I used an FX Grid instead of putting all the modules in one Poly Grid. That's because I needed an EQ between the synthesis and effects sections. I couldn't figure out a way to do this with just one Poly Grid. Is there a way to do that?

I appreciate the usage! Instead of bumping the older thread, I'll just mention some recent updates here. I've adjusted the dashboard to promote frequent and highly-rated creators, there's a new filter for downloaded (if you've registered) files, downloads are now accessible to any user (but still benefits for logged-in users), and request/response times for pages have been improved by nearly 90%.
Up on the roadmap, but I'm still indecisive about some of these, are:
* Automatic previews of Remote Controls, Modulators, Grid Modules, and/or audio examples
* Bulk downloads of any non-downloaded files
* Email digests of recent uploads
* Device Panel uploads
* Versioning or replacing of existing uploads
* "Attachments" like automated embeds of YouTube videos for the files

Or just order the patches / clips / by recent. Why go to separate place to see if something's been added?brownerthanu wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2019 1:52 amI thought it might be useful to have a thread for announcements of patch uploads to bitwiggers.com, and also to discuss patches that have been uploaded.

Mostly for the enjoyment of seeing people announce patches they are proud of, and having a place discuss them. There is no message board on Bitwiggers yet.

I've just uploaded an Allan Holdsworth clean style delayed guitar for Sampler and an audio fx that simulates a stormy day at the beach, that one is good to relax to or to fall asleep if you suffer from tinnitus.

I uploaded another synth. Since it is not an emulation of any classic I'll anounce it here and not in the thread I started for the classic synth emulations.
It is called "El Hari" It is big, but not as big as the CS Eighty that I did recently. It is inspired on all the last synths I've made for the Grid but with more interesting and fun features (All the important controls are at the left side, right side is the stuff that should be hidden).

I hope you'll enjoy it!

...and I did a chopped down version of "El Hari", called it "El Harillo". Just one voice and a sub voice with a lot of possibilities.

Seems like "El Harillo" is more fun to work and play than its bigger brother, here some more patches:

That was me.brownerthanu wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2019 4:01 am ...Someone asked on... why I used an FX Grid instead of putting all the modules in one Poly Grid.
It seemed when I first looked at it that the EQ could have happened at the end of the chain, but I suspect I didn't really think about what was going on at the time.
There is another way to insert as far as I can tell, but it would require using another track.
Your way was probably the smartest, at least until the Bitwig team comes up with a better solution.

This "El Harillo" patch Includes a "honk" generator in the sub voice and some more modulators to achieve a Pad sound reminiscent of the 1990's synths like the Roland JV 2080 or the Kurzweil K2000.
