It was never -50%. 129$/EUR was the lowest it ever got.

ok, my mistake - I thought when I bought my Bitwig2 the update plan was £70.

Useful to know it's not likely to go below the current £114 (other than currency changes)

That's down to the £ being Fxxxed by BREXIT! 70 quid used to be over 100E now it will be about 71E

We were getting 1.5 on the $ so 70 quid would have probably got it from a $ shop like JJR with a little discount and no VAT...

So the decision re buying the upgrade now depends on our analysis of the currency markets..unlikely to change much until October..after October it might go up, down or side ways.

i ve got 7 days left and i am oscilating between

buying the new license
wait and getting 3.0 because it will come out in a week

You can buy it now and only activate it if 3.0 is final after those 7 days. You can wait until 3.0 gets final, I guess the betas will run until their timeout... You might not get the next b6 if its beyond your date, but the b5 will run a bit longer...
With buying the update during the sale you can‘t make a mistake, just be careful about the activation date...

As far as I can tell there's supposed to be Release Candidate before release, so even if RC would drop tomorrow, I doubt it'll get green light in 6 days.

my guess is that it is unlikely for V3 to officially ship before 2 weeks. That guess is based solely on the state of the current beta and could be totally wrong.

The publishing of the 3.0 beta is timed at the majority of running out licenses, which makes a whole lot of sense. Version 2.0 came out around that time of year, same for the Phase 4 version (was it 2.3?). Last time I waited a bit to push it back, but couldn‘t resist long enough..: - (
Anybody still on 2.2 is lucky...; - )
