Hmm, doesn't seem to work here. I'm on Linux and I tried with absolute mouse mode as well. Could also be that I'm using a touchpad type laptop (Lenovo X220T)

Narrow Q filter in Bitwig's EQ-5. Sweet!

Was about to drop 200 on fabfilter as I needed to remove those horrid 909 ride resonances. Needed a narrow Q filter but didn't know bitwigs native EQ-5 has a little Q adjustment section. It's the last row of number's on the EQ. Default is .71 but you can really crank that thing to get surgical with cutting out nasty frequencies and leave rest untouched! Just look at filter and see which peaks are sticking out and bam, cut em out with narrow filter. You can even do the narrow Q eq sweep to find the nasty gremlins!

Not working for me either, Windows.

I see this question/gripe come up fairly often. I wrestled with it myself at first too (coming over from Ableton). So during a recent round of drum pattern making I shot this helpful video about the subject. Enjoy!

Problem: You have a Group track with a number of child tracks, and the child tracks are sending to an Effect track. When you adjust the gain of the Group track, the send levels from the child tracks remain constant. (i.e. you can take the gain of the group all the way to inf. and still hear the FX sends)

Solution: You can create an Effect track inside a Group track. Now, when you adjust the Group gain, the Effect return is also adjusted.

Since my blog with the Bitwig tutorials no longer exists, I did a writeup of my 5.1 Surround Setup on this thread:

viewtopic.php?p=7267354#p7267354

It also shows my surround panner and you can download my 5.1 Surround Template for BWS 2.4.3.

Enjoy and Cheers,

Half way through the beta, "Toggle Plugin Device Window" was added as an assignable shortcut.
it's not useful. :(
you need to mouse select that device in device panel. only then shortcut works.
but ofc. when you are clicking on the device, you simply can click on toggle icon.
so this is not shortcut at all. on the contrary, you have one more step. :?:

or I'm missing something?
No you're right. I submitted a feature request where at least the first device would be automatically be highlighted on a track when you select the track. That way the shortcut will work for your instrument VSTs when you click on or scroll to a track instead of having to actually mouse click the VST itself to get the shortcut to work. Hopefully more people will submit a feature request as well so we can get that shortcut working properly.
