Got some of the keyboards laying around for ages. Recently thought that it could be much more useful if I had sound fonts of these. So I sampled two keyboards, to begin with. Never did SF2 before, but it seemingly went all fine. Maybe someone here will find it useful too:

http://shiru.untergrund.net/files/sf2/ss-326.zip - a very basic toy. Sample-based, 3 instruments, 5 drum sounds.

http://shiru.untergrund.net/files/sf2/cyber_piano.zip - a much better, one of the best Chinese makes (not a Casio, still). Presumably a clone of a Japanese toy. Sample-based, 16 instruments, 5 pitched animal voices, 8 drum sounds.

One more SoundFont.

http://shiru.untergrund.net/files/sf2/bf-630.zip - sample-based keyboard, but samples are short looped waveforms with (fixed) volume envelopes, very chiptune-like. 16 instruments, 8 drum sounds.

Got another couple of keyboards sampled. The HS-3230 one has kind of MOD like sound, these realistic but severely degraded and a bit detuned samples like very early ST modules had. The TX-8488A one is very chiptune-like, with simple waveforms but fat sound (likely done by running two detuned copies of the same waveform). Both has that certain lo-fi vibe, too.

Hi,

I did a Casio CTK-230 SoundFont a year ago, not sure if counts as a toy keyboard but the sounds in it are cheap, simple waveforms (these aren't very complicated to sample with its loop points). Casio SA-series's waveforms are rater complex. Download it here (posted in Musical Artifacts site): https://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts/583 (https://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts/583)
Please check the description and the Google Drive link in the "More Info" heading to download the demo songs.

I hope there will be more toy keyboard SoundFonts in the future.

Do you know if there's a soundfont (or similar) of all the Casio SA-1 patches (I think SA10 might be the same in a different form factor). Looks like someone took up the challenge to make a Kontakt instrument back in 2015 ( http://www.audiohotshot.nl/casio-sa-1-alive-in-kontakt/) but I've had no response as to whether they've got any further.

There's a 9 patch soundfont here, just need the other 91 !

Hi, just noticed your message here on KVR via google (sorry not to have noticed it earlier). I managed to get all SA-1 sounds sampled accurately, I've also mapped them all in Kontakt. I'll make them available to you soon!

Hell yeah, that's great news - thanks Audiohotshot :)

Did yet another one, called Smart Piano. 8 sounds, 5 drums. Download: http://shiru.untergrund.net/files/sf2/smart_piano.zip

Great. Thank you very much :tu:

Some older home keyboards as soundfont would be cool too.

Yeah, Chinese toy keyboards in SF2 format are uncommon, so thanks Shiru for those.

Well this is fun, thanks!
