Thanks Markcytospur wrote: ↑Fri Sep 28, 2018 11:36 am I've just come across a thread where Richard from Synapse Audio has posted an utility for convert wavetables based on 2048 sample cycles in to DUNE2 wavetables.

It's Windows only but will work with the 2048 sample per cycle wavetables that I've released.

New wavetables (~300) now being uploaded for paid up members. These consist of a number of analogue waveforms that have been spliced together to create new single waveforms that are morphed. These can sound quite dirty - in a good way. I reckon their good for some of the more 'grimy' genres!

More new wavetables (~100 per format) now being uploaded. This time some fun with pulse waves both in terms of splicing and width modulation. Gives some nice distorted sounds!
Edit: good for chiptune sounds as well

You might want to change the topic to "wavetables for DUNE2, Blofeld, etc etc"
This is the second time I come to see your offer for DUNE2, Blofeld, IL Harmor, Hive synths

Sorry, I don't get what the problem is.
Is it because you expect it to be a thread on Hive or Serum or something else?

I'm very pleased to announce the arrival of my wavetable editor exclusively for those that have bought in to the wavetables with lifetime updates deal. It can be used to make wavetables with 8 different waveforms in and exported to DUNE2 format as well as serum and compatible formats. I'll add a Blofeld mode on soon. I'm just uploading the program file to your folders as I type.
It's standalone and Windows only. Consider it in beta stage. There's no manual yet, but is in preparation. The only annoying buglet is that it takes a fair few conds to export the DUNE2 wavetable. I'm trying to speed that up. Loading of samples is limited to 16384 and these are DOWN sampled to 2048 samples - EDIT: imported samples are only resampled if they are used for the whole cycle. If you use a subsection of that sample then that will be automatically resampled to 2048 samples. Behind the scenes, the imported sample keeps it's original resolution! Anything less then 2048 samples is automatically stretched and uplsampled to 2048 samples. You can select parts of waveforms using sample off and len which are values that can range from 0-to-1 - I'll change this to something more usable in the future! Bit depth can also be changed, e.g., 4, 8, 12, 16 as well as phase 0-2048.
In addition to the load sample mode, there's an tect-to-additive mode(!) - codes at the bottom of the window, and a random mode, with and without sorting using the 'N' LED. Below that is an INterpolation button for no interpolation and two modes of interpolation. Interpolation is for random mode only.
Oooh, and look at those shapers
Here is a screenshot of it:

Hey cytospur, I just bought your bundle to get this tool.
Btw the email went to my Yahoo spam folder, in case anyone orders and doesn't see an email (I pressed the not spam button, every little helps!).
Windows 10 gives that warning saying the .exe is unfamiliar, but I forced it to open and it works fine.
I've been playing with the Wavelet tool for a bit.
I really like that the editor supports resizing by right clicking.
I also really like drawing in the waveforms, it's a lot of fun.
I noticed I can draw waveforms in the wavetable preview area at the top. I tested and it lets me export that waveform. I also noticed that if I adjust any parameter for one of the waves that the wavetable I drew disappears - I'm not sure if that's intentional or not.
I experimented with importing the exported wavetables as waves, and that effectively gives you 64 waves - when importing to Serum you need to set the samples to 256!
Questions (I realise you'll probably cover them in the manual):
http://glowshrimpsoftware.com/sfmwts.html
The generated Wavetables work great in Hive without any tweaking.
For Serum I got them working by setting the sample to 2048 in the editor and dragging in.
The spectral fade Interpolator mode in Hive gives a much smoother result than the spectral morph in the Serum editor!
Thanks for sharing, looking forward to upcoming updates!

Questions (I realise you'll probably cover them in the manual):
- For the Additive codes - what do they represent? it took me a little while to realise the bottom bar is the key, and you enter the codes into the area below the Shapers.
- Why is the wavetable limited to 8 waveforms? I realise I could export each wave separately and stitch them together in another tool, was wondering if it might be possible to change the number ov waves in the table in the future?
- I don't see a way to save the session/project file for the editor - would be nice to re-load and make adjustments. Would also be useful experimenting and recovering previous states etc.
- It would be nice to preview the sound of each wave, and the wavetable (I pressed some keys on my typing keyboard but didn't hear anything, not sure if midi keyboard would do anything).
- A tooltip/help button at the top would be useful to let the user hover over buttons to find out what they do. The short labels like N, In, Ld, pts aren't immediately obvious what they do and how to use them!
- Reset buttons would be useful, for resetting the whole wavetable, or each wave one-by-one (to simple sines).
- Undo would be useful, particularly for drawing in waveforms.
- When drawing waveforms, I need to save and then reload it to apply shapers. Would be nice if there was an apply button to keep the drawn changes without save/loading

First of all, thank you for your purchase. Second, and most importantly, thank you for your incredible feedback and suggestions. It's time for bed now, but I'll try to address them tomorrow.
Thanks again and happy wavetabling

Each position of the written code represents a harmonic. The additive codes represent amplitudes as follows:
a = 1., b = 0.5, c = 0.333333, d = 0.25, e = 0.2, f = 0.166667, g = 0.142857, h = 0.125, i = 0.111111, j = 0.1, k = 0.0909091, l = 0.0833333, m = 0.0769231, n = 0.0714286, o = 0.0666667, p = 0.0625, q = 0.0588235, r = 0.0555556, s = 0.0526316, t = 0.05, u = 0.047619, v = 0.0454545, w = 0.0434783, x = 0.0416667, y = 0.04, z = 0.0384615, A = 1., B = 0.333333, C = 0.2, D = 0.142857, E = 0.111111, F = 0.0909091, G = 0.0769231, H = 0.0666667, I = 0.0588235, J = 0.0526316, K = 0.047619, L = 0.0434783, "M = 0.04, N = 1., O = -0.111111, P = 0.04, Q = -0.0204082, R = 0.0123457, S = -0.00826446, T = 0.00591716, U = -0.00444444, V = 0.00346021, W = -0.00277008, X = 0.00226757, Y = -0.00189036, Z = 0.0016, = 0., 1 = 1., 2 = 0.972, 3 = 0.944, 4 = 0.917, 5 = 0.889, 6 = 0.861, 7 = 0.833, 8 = 0.806, 9 = 0.778, 0 = 0.75, ! = 0.722, $ = 0.694, % = 0.667, ^ = 0.639, & = 0.611, * = 0.583, ( = 0.556, ) = 0.528, - = 0.5, = =

A to M, alternating with spaces (space = 0 amplitude) forms a square wave, whilst N to Z forms a triangle wave. The idea is a bit gimmicky allowing to 'see' what your name or favourite profanity looks like et.
