ABU - Writing Articulation Changes in my DAW

So I'm very new to using ABU and while I love it I'm having a few problems, particularly in getting it to read any articulation changes or additions I add after recording the part.
As an example, in either staff or piano roll view if I add a slide to a note (D#0) it neither appears to register in the interface (the orange D#0 light doesnt respond) nor does the slide happen audibly.
If I record the track WITH the particular articulation I want it's fine. But no post editing it seems.
Anyone come across this and knows how to handle it?
Many thanks!

D#0 in other DAWs just is D#2 in Sonar and FLstudio, those 2 DAW are special.

Ahh yes.. Just noticed that. It makes no difference though. If i write in - or record - an articulation change ABU still doesnt pick it up

AHA! I got it!! My problem was the note length that preceded an articulation and the placement of those! ! Sounding much better now!
