After figuring I'd give AME another go, I noticed that the modulation wheel on my Yamaha MX61 functions the same as the pitchbend wheel; it doesn't automatically pitchbend at an intensity set by the wheel.
Is there a way to change that?

please open setttings panel, turn "Auto Mod" on.
