No Ample Bass doesn't play note randomly, it is controlled by capo logic.
You need to fix the capo - play an A#0, you will find a yellow line above the virtual MIDI keyboard, then play e.g A1 to fix the capo to 6th.
You can play D2 on E string.

For example, You know that there are two D2. One is on string4 and one is on string3.
I tried to play D2 on string4. Because it sounds better for me.
But ample bass 2 sometimes play D2 on string4 and sometimes play D2 on string3....
Is there any option to control this?

Other notes in your bass line changed capo, you have to set capo again when it changes.

Thanks DrMEM, yes the MIDI Guitar feature can do it too.
