Hello. Love your work, sounds great - but importantly you release packs in the Renoise format. Please don't stop doing this!
I have the multi-velocity packs of the Yamaha hybrid kit (399 samples), the Hayman Vibrosonic kit (480 samples) and the Gretsch Round Badge kit (735 samples). But the download size of the Round Badge is less than 500mb whereas the Hayman and Yamaha are both around 1.2gb - Just wondering where all the extra 0's and 1's in these kits! They're all the same 44.1khz/24bit samples right?
Thanks

Hi
We will hopefully be continuing the Renoise format. One of our good customers builds those. So we can thank him. Yes it is curious about the sizes... They are definitely all 24 bit samples. Its probably down to the number of articulations but Ben our engineer will leave a post about this shortly. Just so you are aware from the Folk kits onwards the Multi-velocity packs have become Multi-sample packs. All the same except some of the samplers support round robin samples. So they are considerably larger (and we have increased the velocity count to 24 from 16).
Cheers
Nick

Hi,
As Nick says all our samples are 44.1/24 bit but it's the size of samples that is the main factor here.
The Gretsch Kit is an incredibly tight, dry sounding kit and so in general the samples are much shorter than the Yamaha or Hayman kits where the samples are longer.
Times that by a few hundred samples and you get your size offset.
You'll notice the same thing with our Rogers Dub kit which is another very tight sounding kit.
Hope that answers you question but let mw know if you have any others...
Cheers,
Ben.

Many thanks, sorry for not responding sooner. That makes sense.
Take care.
