A new year and a new video! This time it's a whole set of ensembles - the Biohazard Series by OreKore, that are a superb and extremely twisted noise machines. Do you want to score a movie about a reactor meltdown, nightmares lurking in the deeps of the oceans or a waking up Cthulhu? These are for you!

I'm thinking about doing a more in-depth video about one of them - Kursk probably, but please let me know, which one would you like to get TMORW treatment .

I don't know how I missed this post originally, but I like these instruments. The GUI of the Biohazard series is fantastic. As a longtime Reaktor user/fan, this is the kind of thing that really enhances the user library.
Nice work.
Cheers

Thanks
Which one looks the most interesting for you? I really like Kursk with the 3 engines...

Unit, Gruinard, Aralsk, Kantubek and Porton Down all have an authentic industrial grunge feel, as if they've just been discovered in an abandoned Russian bunker.
I don't know that any of these would do more than add the occasional SFX to what I do, but great aesthetics.

A new Reaktor ensemble video of He Morph Here by Paule - a resurrection of an old gem by the great Lazy Fish. Superb for generative noise synthscapes and atmospheres.

Here is a new Reaktor video - this time about a fun sequencer ensemble with per-step parameters and cool live effects . It's Booglebeat 2 by Matthew Todman.

Here we go - a Markov-chain based sequencer. Markov-chains - in a nutshell - are models of sequences where the state of an event is determined by the previous event. They are used for auto-generative music and in music analysis. They provide an interesting way of controlling the chaos of standard probability sequencers. Fun little ensemble

After getting a very basic (but not that easy to find a solution quickly) question about Reaktor usage, I'm thinking about making a short video series on the very basics of Reaktor for beginners - like what the heck is it:), why the many plugin versions, Reaktor full vs Reaktor Player, how to use it as an effect, instrument and a sequencer in all major DAWs...
Did you have any of these basic problems or questions regarding Reaktor? What information would you like to be easier accessible?

Having just picked up Reaktor 5 on the buy and sell forum here, then the 6 update/grade in NI's summer sale, yes, I would definitly be interested in a getting started video or series. You probably don't need to go quite as much as into Player, because I'd think most people would understand that concept, although a few minutes explaining it's limitations would probably be good to include anyway for us newbs.
Also, reading this forum, there seems to be a bit of a...kerfuffle about 6.3 vs. 6, and how cables meant things didn't work. Or something. I'm not sure I fully understand in all honesty, but I'm sure it made more sense for people at the time? So maybe briefly what the pro's and cons of 6.3 over 6?
There are a couple of "build your first synth" videos online for 5 and 6, so maybe the next level would be how to expand on your first synth so it's not just a pitched, enveloped and filtered oscilator.
Also a build your first and second effect could be interesting too, as Reaktor seems to be more than just a synth creator.
I appreciate any time and help this video will be, so thank you in advance.

I fear I'm not expert enough to do videos about making your own stuff, but I want to make it easier for people to start using Reaktor 6 even just for loading other people's stuff. Take down the entry barrier so to speak...

Yep, that would still be great. I've only downloaded one thing so far, so I'm not sure if theres a propper/appriate location to install downloaded, err devices(would that be the right name?) to.
