I wish Native had a list of all the devs on one page with links.

Yeah, I totally recommend Toybox's blocks. I spent an hour yesterday playing with the Granular Sampler. There's an effect mode that acts like my Morphagene, and a live resampling mode that acts like my Octatrack. Putting together Racks with this Block alone is going to be a lot of fun.

Yes you can , but not (yet) in rack mode .
The new cables are just input/output ports , the way we connect macros and or instruments .
Native instruments made it so that these can be shown on the gui (black dot )or a user gui if you like , we can drag a cable from these inputs to outputs
These connections are NOT saved withing snapshots , which makes sense because these are just connnected ports ..and that's where the nkrs system comes into play .
In rack mode , the blocks are not saved but are referenced , thus the filseize is much smaller
So if you want to patch the new way in ensemble mode ,update your blocks and save as ensemble and use the old snapshot system .
Either way , patching is alot more fun
Picure shows macros that are connected

It's actually pretty amazing what is given away for free. I mean the Blocks Base being free for Reaktor Player is great already. Those are actually my favorite sounding blocks. Then when you add the free packs from Toybox and Euroreakt you have a pretty decent little modular environment without having spent any money at all. And of course you're not really limited by how many modules you can load in so that's a ton of power for free.

im tempted to go for the toybox sampling pack, lizard mentioned that one of the blocks is similar to morphagene. that alone has me
at 400 plus the hw is a bit limiting, so i only have one in the rack.
but a sw rack full of em holy feck! now that's some fun right there

Cables in ensemble mode are nice to quickly hook up the studio effects .

Maybe Reaktor is such "old hat" that this is common knowledge, but how do the Blocks actually sound? Are there great sounding filters, oscs, effects, etc.? Does it do audio-rate modulation well? Are there polyphonic modules (or even better: a quick and easy way to make mono patches polyphonic like I was using a U-he synth and just flipped the setting)?
I checked out Voltage Modular but didn't like the sound of the base package or its graphics, so passed. Righ now, I'm just waiting for VCV Rack to officially go VST (using VeeSeeVST ATM), but maybe I should be looking at Reaktor. So does it sound great? I love Monark, so if we're in that ballpark, that's a great place to be. How's the workflow?

but tbf, i dont understand why they didn't release it and before the complaints state "and dont worry if you're a builder, this is just the beginning..."
