Can you give us a bit of info on your Live version (if it's the latest beta, or the official release), and your screen setthings (screen resolution / scaling settings)? We do not know about any issues in Live.

Live beta 10.0.17, zoom at 100%
Laptop screen is 1920x1080 i believe, will double check when i'm in.
I had to click above and left to select the desired parameter. Hopefully this is solvable as this seems really nice.
If you need any further info feel free to pm me.

I'm using the same version here, and was only able to reproduce something that reminds me of the behaviour you described, if plug-in scaling for Alpha Forever in Live was disabled.

All you have to do is to make sure, plug-in scaling is enabled like on the image below, and things should work fine.

This was a known issue with Juce hosts already (like Tracktion), the solution is on our todo list, but it takes a bit longer to get solved. We hope, this workaround can help for you until then.

The 18th AFNoding session is about procedural sound design for motion graphics.

The mograph video:

The noding session:

We hope, both watching and noding will be fun! :)

Thanks for your reply! I looked for this option and it doesn't appear for me, I've never seen it in fact. I checked out the options in Ableton but couldn't see anything, is there something I'm missing? Would love to try this?

It is not in Options, it is a context menu option.

Right-click the Device Title Bar (in the pic it is the blue bar written "Omnisph..." ) for that context menu dialog.

If you are in 10.1b17 (I assume, as there was no 10.0.17 beta) it should appear.

I am using the 10.0.19 beta and I meant context menu, it's not there for me...

The screenshot was taken either from 10.1.b17 or 10.1.b18, i'm not sure by now, since we are at 10.1.b19 in the meantime. :)

Anyways... this issue is solved since then. In the development build (which is accessible for customers) hiDPI rendering is already implemented, It should be featured in the next official update (no release date yet, we are working on some new features). Thanks for letting us know about this issue. If you have any questions anytime about AFModular, just let us know, we will try to answer / solve things as fast as possible!

Seems it doesn't appear on the VST3 version of plugins.

Also, if you have HiDPI Mode disabled it won't appear either, since that option is made to turn-off HiDPI Mode on per-plugin basis.

Balazs, Do you plan to port Alpha Forever to Mac?

Hi! We plan to do it in the future, but for the time being we are focusing on new features and improvements. Apart of the huge amount of work and testing it would take to port the plugin to AU, the future of the Mac OS is also a huge risk ATM. Currently it's safer to do as much as we can on the current platform. We will focus on Mac whenever we happen to have more users / resources, and we know what the new OS X is going to look like (what the compatibility with the current Intel chipset is going to be, and what the reaction of the audio industry is going to be like).

In this weeks AFNoding session we did something that's close to a drum replacer:

I was using a similar patch during renovating old tracks Gábor (the other half of the team) used to write in the late 90's in Impulse Tracker. His drum programming was excellent, but we just did not have the proper samples and processing power back in the days. Many kicks where lacking on bass, so triggering synthetic kick sounds based on audio input seemed the way to go. The method worked, so i hope, it could be useful for others too.
