Much too early to begin answering detailed questions about the Rack VST port like that.

Perfectly understandable, and I might have put it down in the wrong way.
Rather than looking for a detailed answer right now it was more like pointing out something possibly worth considering during development as a feature for the best possible user experience, if it's doable.
Keep up the great work

Made some video about a paid EQ module for VCV Rack. And this one is outstanding.

Now a first look at Host-FX, included in the VCV Host plugin, for hosting VST effect plugins with stereo audio in/out.

VCV Host is still being tested with dozens of VST vendors. This time with three instances of Propellerhead Europa, modulated with Befaco Rampage and VCV Pulse Matrix.

I assume that audio-rate modulation without tons of aliasing will still only be possible between rack modules?

Modulation is only possible at the "buffer rate" of the VST. In other words, VSTs process in blocks while Rack modules process sample-by-sample. VST parameters are updated once per block, which is 128 by default and can be configured by Host between 16-4096. You can try modulating VST parameters at audio-rate, but you will get "interesting" results at best, since no VST plugins are designed for this.

Very nice Befaco Rampage Tutorial in VCV (similar to MATHS if you are not familiar with it)

As the hardware is identical its a good lesson for hardware or software user on function generator modules.

Yeh, its a game changer, VCV rack is a real DAW! I am on UK time and its late afternoon here- I keep checking!

I wonder if it will just be a new module to download or an update to the rack?

That’s fair enough, Happy to pay this and support the future development :tu: I think I will use the fx more, especially with some good VST VA filters, but I can see legend also fitting in nicely, like dropping a mother32 or Boog D in your rack :phones:
