When rate set to "free", first note is too long??!!

Hi folks,

I'm using Cream for the first time.

One thing i can't quite get my head around:

When rate is set to "free", the first triggered note is too long.

"Start note immediately" in global settings is on.

Any ideas what i'm doing wrong? I've tried it with the same result in both Ableton and Cubase.

I also notice that the "wrong" length of that first note varies, which makes me suspect that it's a bug.

Yeah, I noticed this as well.

But, in my case, it doesn't matter whether the rate is free or synced.

Someone shedding some light on this would definitely be nice.
