Pattern Grid in ProTools

Hello -

I just discovered that when I use The Strum as a stand alone, the ALT key for switching up and down in the pattern grid works perfectly. However, it does not work in ProTools 10, unless I'm doing something wrong there.

Is there anybody else out there experiencing the same problem?

If so, is there a solution to use this feature in the DAW?
