Q: Diamond downloads changed?

He did respond but that was his answer so far which so far didn’t help. Hoping to get more response to resolve the issue.

kirk did eventually respond and resolved the diamond download issue for me. I am not sure what may have changed from whatever was downloadable a few years back, but looking at timestamps, I do not think it has changed much in a couple of years. There was only one new little update for glock and timp compared to what I had before from 2016. Seems to work fine.

well one thing for sure, the currently available download does NOT include the TVEC3 woodwinds that were apparantly part of diamond at some point in the past, but are definitely not part of the current download. The only woodwinds included now are pre-TVEC from the VPro era. I have owned Diamond for quite a long time and probably in the past I may have downloaded a more complete version but somewhere along the line I deleted the old stuff, assuming the most recent download would be the most complete, but that appears to not be the case, things have been removed. Not sure what else has been removed, that is what I can find for now.

Kirk has provided me support on this issue. There is now an updated rar archive which includes TVEC3 woodwinds.

I have also received information from Kirk that the size of Diamond should be 42GB and the reason it is smaller compared to some older versions is because he cleaned house and eliminated many duplicate samples.

yes you'll have to re-download the whole thing because its packed up in a rar archive.

Theoretically, the forums in this part of KVR are for tech support. But there seem to be several developers (including Kirk Hunter Studios) who have started forums here and then stopped responding to inquiries on them. It's fine to change your mechanism for support. It's not fine to avoid posting an announcement about it.

Well, I just redownloaded all 40x700MB files, and the 7zip archive test function is telling me that a 41th file is missing and this is causing the last Cellos_Mute sample to be broken - see attachment...

What now?
