Roland Jupiter 8-V factory patches for Arturia Jup 8-V

Hi people.
Had some time in the holidays, and decided to finish this.
I based my work on the patches posted on this topic. I've used the factory sheets from synthmania to fine tuning some patches that were not 100% right. I used Jupiter 8 from Roland cloud to compare the patches and fine tuning too. The images from synthmania are not that good, and the sweetspots on Jup 8-V seems hard to dial.
As FMR tried to do the same some time ago, I contacted him, got his work and used some of his patches too.
In some patches, the sound is similar to Jupiter-8 cloud, but in others, it's not that good. Did my best, but the Jup-8V has some limitations...
I hope it's useful/fun to someone!

Using the import
After this, a new bank Jupiter 8 Factory will appear on your Jup 8-V

Huge props for these!! Thank you. There are plenty of places to listen to the presets -- but this video goes through about half the factory presets. *No affiliation - just passing along a vid... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xq4XOVde1Yk
These are hugely useful/fun! - Awesome going through these patches.. Following along the video above.. and dinking around with my mapped Arturia keyboard setting - it's hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. These really are awesome.
Thanks again waltercruz

Thanks very much for the quick answer and, of course, for the patches!waltercruz wrote: ↑Wed Jan 30, 2019 11:54 pm Using the import

I used this video and the Synthmania page a lot as references (http://www.synthmania.com/jupiter-8.htm), together with Jupiter-8 Roland Cloud plugin, but Jupiter-8 cloud doesn't implement all the factory patches from Jupiter-8.jdoo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 31, 2019 5:04 am Huge props for these!! Nice to hear this. I had a lot of work tuning the Fred patches. There's some things that just doesn't feels right on Arturia: The LFO range on Jup 8-V3 is from 0-20Hz, and on the original Jupiter is from 0-40Hz. This makes a great difference in the patches that uses LFO to do PWM, by example (a lot of string like patches uses this). The envelopes on Arturia doesn't seem particularly right.. If I understood it right, it seems that at least ENV1 should be mono retrigger, and at least one guy seems to confirm this on Arturia forum (https://forum.arturia.com/index.php?topic=88171.0). It makes a lot of difference on playability on patches like 11 Neg Sync.
But some patches are very similar, and useful.
If someone wants a more similar sound, without going the Roland Cloud way (I know that a lot of people dislike software subscriptions), Reaktor is the way to go. There are two ensembles that really seems to have captured the 'Jupiter sound'
JP-80 - this ensemble even have some of the factory patches

ChroJupiter - this guy created 3 roland synths in a common engine (Jupiter, AlphaJuno and Juno). It's more an emulation of the JP-08 boutique. Not a 100% Jupiter emulation, but has a very good sound too.

Not really, but I could try to match some patches... But I will only have some days, because my demo of Roland Cloud expires in two weeks... BTW, I did some updates on the patches, will post them!

Hey! With the recent changes in the Roland Cloud I could compare it again with some patches on the Roland Cloud Jupiter-8, fine tune some things and fix other things.
In the patches changed, I mostly matched the LFO rates by ear (Arturia LFO rate is different from original).
Changed patches:
17 Hammer Lead - fix wrong sync and modulation
47 Drawbar Organ, 71 Fat Fifths, 82 Flute and 83 Whistle - fix LFO Speed compared with Roland Cloud version
78 Hard Blip - Small Envelope fix
56 Choir Voices - Replaced with the one from FMR
The patch 23 Echo Piano sounds slightly weird on Arturia, but there's a tricky to make it sound almost right. Copying the patch from patchbook, the keys (envelope?) generate a weird thump when playing the note, totally different from what is expected. But changing VCO-2 to sine makes the patch behave more faithful to the original - the weird thump is fixed.
