T7 - is the solo/mute functionality ok to you?

I used T6 and was quite happy with the little solo and mute buttons. they worked also in nested structures with stem busses.

With T7, something changed, and the nested solo does not work for me, I can't figure out the concept of that change.
I am also working with Cubase, but at the site of a friend. That solo system is a bit different and more complex but most time does what we want.

Then again, with a later Tracktion version there was a thread or two about the solo mode concepts.
