Waveform Problem Plugins

Edit: and I did try the "Enable DPI Awareness" option in this plugin. It seems to work until you close Waveform, and then the setting state is forgotten when you open the project again in the next Waveform session.

Enabling DPI awareness fixes Hybrid 3 for me. It also fixed the blank GUI on Bluecat's FreqAnalyst CM. Setting seems to stick when closing and reopening Waveform on my machine.

I can confirm this, BUT... it only works on Waveform 10

I have just installed Drumgizmo-1:0.9.16-1kxstudio1 vst , running W10 on Mint-18.3 . It loads fine ( I'm in the process of downloading one of the kits now which is 2.3gb [ we will see if the large kit size is maybe the problem with loading ] . Note that Drumgizmo also passes the Pluginval tests with flying colours. I will get back when I load up a kit and maybe save & reload an Edit.

I did fresh install of Mint 18.3, drivers/updates, then W10 and Drumgizmo from Kxstudio. It hangs Waveform's GUI. I don't know where to dig.

Thanks again. To reproduce I just add plugin (empty or with kit), then any random actions (start playing, close W10) cause hangs.

Strange and important thing that it's happens on different machines and different distros.

The Artisan plugins (at least Nonlinear Space and Hombre, I suspect all of them) have text fields for Dry and Wet settings, which should accept numbers in dB. Enter any number > 0 and you get +0.0 dB, any number <= 0 and you get -inf dB. This carries over to the fields on the Controls panel/Properties pane.

I'm having trouble with the visual animation of Native Instruments (NI) Effects in Waveform 10.

This is not a problem in Waveform 8.

A specific example:
- Windows 10
- Waveform 10.1.5
- NI Supercharger (compressor) added to track
- plug in adds to track OK and the control window pops up
- the control window display does not animate or move when I drag my mouse over it, although audibly it seems to be applying and my mouse moves over the controls sound like they altering the settings - but the settings do not visibly change so I cannot see what I am doing
- strangely, when I click on the "NI" logo on the plugin it pops up an "about" box for the plugin - when this is visible the main plugin animation works OK again - but I cannot alter any settings unless I dismiss the "about" popup
- if I open two different NI effects at the same time, click the "NI" logo on one of them, both animate OK and I can control the one that does not have the popup activated
- other effects from different manufacturers work fine (e.g. Focusright)

This issue seems to apply to all the NI effects plugins I have. It does not apply to the NI Kontakt instruments - only the effects.

Just tried Supercharger in W10.2.1 (latest version) and the GUI animates fine.
I would recommend updating Waveform and if that doesn't fix it reinstall the NI plugs.

I'm on the latest version of Waveform and can confirm GUI issues with Native Instruments Studio Drummer and Abbey Road Drum series. Switching to DPI awareness fixed it but makes the GUI small and hard to read. Does it with Invidia card and the onboard Intel graphics. Replica XT delay seems fine.

I have a problem with SUBSPACE.
T7, Windows 10, ASUS TUF gaming notebook.

when the mix is complex, the reverb starts to "howl", means the pitch changes erratically up and down, but like a short howl. like you jump on the foot of the singer while performing.
it occurs every few seconds, between that, the sound is clean.

it looks like a timing problem. like there is a control loop for the data input/processing/output sync, that runs amok and tries to keep up with itself. this might have become some sort of "liquid processing" because of the internal modulation, so all internal parameters can shift softly, and it needs interpolation all the time.

also, since that unfortunate spectre/meltdown update frenzy, many computers seem to have timing issues, and reaction of track pad and mouse has irregular speed problems and glitches.
perhaps this issue has broken some strategies in software, that are about sync of parallel processes...

Regarding NI animation (above).

I have updated Waveform to 10.2.1. And I have reinstalled NI. This did not fix the issue.

Selecting DPI awareness on the plugin does fix the issue - but does make the plugin window smaller.
