Installation issues in Windows 10

hi, trying to install the free version on Windows 10.

Part way through installation I get a message about a number of files it needs that are in use - it want to close them and then restart those processes - the list includes Firefox, Excel (even when it's closed) and a bunch on NI files.

Not really sure why it is needing those files - and it seems whatever I do it can't install even if I say yes to those requests.

This is most likely the mscrt redist package (C runtime). Not sure why that would cause even conflicts with running apps. Did you check the MSI log?
