Regions get their colour from the group, so you cannot really change it. Only the line/text color. (It responds to line settings).
For the wave editor, there is a bit of a bug right now that loop, slice, selection etc are not in fact classes, but types. I.e. it responds to the selector ".wave-editor-view loop", not ".wave-editor-view .loop". This is however a bug and will change in the next build. But I won't make a drop just for that. (You can guard by making the selector ".wave-editor-view loop, .wave-editor-view .loop").
Not that several of these don't use the background attribute either, but the "fill" (and line).

Ok thanks. I see that start color for group as well as slot is always blue. Is it possible to have a choice in settings to set a default (start) color for that (slot and group)?
