Old program made in V2 will load in, as well as the samples. Pressing the keys in Region display will light up the MIDI indicator, but no sound. Playing MIDI files or using virtual keyboard from the host (Reaper 5.962 x64) will do the same, MIDI input indicated, no sound.

I do get audio output from the wave display, playing the selected sample there. I also do get audio while previewing files from the file browser.

Loading in other old programs where audio outputs were edited (not just default Out 1), same thing, no audio output. And with those programs, clicking on the wave display will crash the host. Minidumps saved...

Post

Send the programs and minidumps, I will look at them.

Will do, but early tomorrow or later. Should I post them here or somewhere else and do you need samples too?

Here or PM, whichever you prefer. And yes, please include the samples.

Ok, here's the program which causes the crash when clicking on wave display. Couldn't attach the samples or the minidump, forum doesn't seem to accept that big packages...
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Use wetransfer.com or similar. The program itself is not gonna tell me anything about any crash.

Right...so, I managed to find a support address from an old post here on forum. Crash dump just sent into that address.

Absolutely not. But it could show how/why it's not outputting any sound.

Not in this case. :-) Turns out to be a severe regression in a bugfix release, breaking loading legacy programs. Argh.
Your playback hangs because you are loading surround waves, which cause a buffer overrun in parts of the playback code. My bad.
Fixed in next build.

Ah, I see. Good to know you found the bug, thanks for looking into this.
