I am using TX16Wx in GarageBand 10.2.0 and I want to use automations with some of the parameters like pan or release. And I am using the AU (.component) running on a MAC OS X 10.12.6 with a 2,5 GHz Intel Core i5 (which is 64 bit I think). I could link the PAN to a automations parameter (e.g. 01) and then do my automations within GB. But how could I link the RELEASE knob to a parameter?

Whats the difference between using the VST or the AU anyway?

In TXv2 there is no dedicated modulation for envelope release. Instead, you modulate the overall envelope time. (This is one of these weird quirks carried over from the original TX16w - just for fun!)

So...I can't change RELEASE by using GB's automations, right? I can only set it to a certain value for good and can't modulate it? If I missunderstood you then tell me how this "overall envelope time" thing works please.

AEG/Time changes all falloff slope lengths, i.e. decay 1&2 + release, effectively making the envelope "longer".

Thanks, I can work with that :)
