Nova GE smart action question

I've been enjoying nova ge so far and have been experimenting with it for different uses. I typically use Ozone dynamics for my master bus for multiband compression however I sometimes find it can easy kill my mix instead of help (my fault). I've noticed that under smart actions Nova has a "generate multiband" function. The manual says this function "generates an equally spaced, “flat sum” multiband setting". I'm wondering if anyone knows exactly what this means? Is this a tool that can be used to get a starting point for a mastering setting? Or is this more suitable for individual tracks? Thanks for the help for me dynamics is the hardest part of mastering
