I've just released my first soundset for SPC ArcSyn:

Image

Arrows for SPC ArcSyn deeply explores this unique synth, unfolding it's raw and untamed timbres, it's lush and embracing pad sounds, it's dark drones and futuristic textures, expressive leads and intricate tempo-synced sequences, wondrous soundscapes, one-finger-chords, ambient miniatures, brass sounds, keys, crystalline bells, delicate sweeps, punchy basses and plucks and it's expressive vowel filter making for some very human sounding vocal sounds.

Inter-modulating LFOs and well structured LFO-sequences breathe a lot of life into these sounds which can be used for a wide variety of styles as the numerous audio and video examples demonstrate. In quite a few patches all 16 slots in the modulation matrix were used to create complex modulation routings and provide as much user control over a patch as musically sensible.

All patches have the modulation wheel assigned, most also use aftertouch and velocity in order to provide expressively playable synthruments. You can view/download the PDF for Arrows with more details, the licence agreement and the patch list including playing tips and detailed descriptions for each patch here.

If I were from the US of A I would now pick my jaw from the floor and say 'o my gawd!'

What is this???
That first sound from Under the Arc went right through my wallet and into my heart. I must have this synth and your soundbank for it to learn from. (I just decided I did not want any more synths as I had all I needed).

If UVI are clever, they ask this company to join them. This is coding outside the box!

btw: tx for the answer on the Falcon thread!

Over to try and find more on this ArcSyn...

Can you please add 'Under the Arc' and 'Oriental Formant' to your YT page?
That way I can download them and enjoy them offline.

=======================

89Euro is not exaggerated, make it 119 your soundbank included.

Is it hard to learn?

It's a one man show, nice guy from the UK, I'm now helping him to Beta test and improve his raw jewel, the UI is slightly off, the sound is great, so is the modulation concept. Spread the word!

And I liked your poetry :)

The only thing to really learn are the LFOs, as each one can have up to 16 stages with plenty of variations and options, the rest is pretty straight forward.

This synth is truly dangerous, a single SciFi-patch from Arrows in action:

Hi Simon,

This is a synth, which completly went under my radar so far,
the first one, which I discovered because you're creating a soundset for it...
It's the first one, which I bought since Spectral.
(And also bought the RingMod plugin, which is quite fun...)
Looks like a win-win situation for you and the developer...

And some might say the GUI is ugly, but then it's so ugly, that I actually love it...
Anyway, it sounds great, it already comes with great sounds, and though
you have not provided that much demos to your soundsets so far I'm already sold -
The "Oriental Formant Lead" is a killer, the others not shabby either ;-)

Greatings - curious, what you'll come up further with this synth...

Hey Frank, long time no write :)
I'm spending several hours with ArcSyn each day, and the more I delve into the possibilities the modulation matrix has to offer the more I am thrilled by it. This synth has a learning curve and quite a few things are not obvious at first sight, but if one takes full advantage of the possible modulation routings and the complex LFO chains which are possible, this instrument really brings something new and interesting to the synth table. More demos later this afternoon...

Greetings,
Simon

I'm looking forward to event-u-a-l-l-y getting the Arrows set and ArcSyn.. Just have to get over the economic shock of getting some mastering tools recently: Limitless, FF Pro C2 and the rather expensive upgrade to FF Pro Q2..

I love the graphics and the demos so far for ArcSyn...interesting name for a synth, makes me think of welding, welding sounds together, industrial..nice

Regards

Wade
waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

Jesus, you went shopping badly, but all those tools will serve you very well, Limitless is the best limiter I have ever used, and the Fabfilter Pro C/Q 2 are essential tools you can't go wrong with.

I knew from the start that the vocal filter in ArcSyn is something special, so today I explored it some more and came up with this vocal patch, Tuvan throat singing on acid, this synth can sing

mprovising with a single instance of ArcSyn using the preset Tuvan Meditation, modwheel action for additional vibrato/distortion, aftertouch introduces the sub-octave.

Well it's all a little overwhelming with the tools I've been getting the last few years. but I have a habit of keeping my gear for many years, so I will eventually gain the skills to use most of them effectively . I had Pro Q version one for a little over a year the upgrade seemed expensive but seems like a marked improvement from Pro Q 1, the Pro C 2 bought just recently, and was planning on getting pro L limiter but then discovered Limitless, which seems to be very transparent and effective, I feel also it takes the place of the Melda AutoDynamicEq I was considering.. With these 3 plug ins, the 2Caudio B2 and Valhalla Room, Vintage, Shimmer and übermod and others I'm pretty well set for mixing and mastering.. The Studio monitors help a lot too.. Good monitors makes the whole process of making tracks a lot more enjoyable and efficient.

Arcsyn is interesting for sure I'm even getting to like the UI!
