I just released my first library for Alchemy 2:

Resurrection for Alchemy 2 contains a broad range of top notch meticulously crafted presets with the focus on as much sonic diversity possible. The 98 patches (x8 snapshots in Alchemy's remix pad) make extensive use of the new features introduced in version 2, like the new spectral and additive re-synthesis and spectral morphing, the improved granulator with multiple grain streams, FM synthesis, and the extended FX section with 4 independent effect racks and convolution reverb.

Multisampled instruments like water-bells, stick cello, marching drum and other percussion sounds meet an array of resynthesized acoustic sounds - also mult-sampled - like flute, violin, trombone,
harp, chimes, e-bowed guitar, psaltery and mandolin or bowed metallophones and are often layered with electronic textures also derived from re-synthesized images. Lush pads, haunting and enchanting
soundscapes, massive drones, expressive fantasy instruments, fascinating morph-textures, playful and groovy sequencers and intricate rhythmical textures compose a versatile collection of new sounds applicable in all kinds of genres, from ambient to new-age to electronica, world-fusion, science-fiction and soundtrack work.

Complex modulation routings and controller assignments enable the user to deeply interact with the sounds and shape them according to his/her needs.

You can view/download the PDF for this library with more details, the license agreement and the patchlist, including playing tips and short descriptions here.

So nice you can go further (and surely beyond) with your long, full of beauties, Alchemy story.
All the best wishes for Resurrection!! :)

I would very much follow your new Alchemy sonic adventures, but all I can do is hope Apple will do (e.g.) as Steinberg did with Padshop Pro, and make it available for a "broader range" of costumers.

Thank you, Matteo. Apple will not do that, they never did, I assume that's why they bought CA in the first place, to offer something exclusively to Logic users and to drag more creative people over to that DAW and to Macs in general. I know it sucks for some people, but that's how it is, Logic has been my DAW all my life, so I feel at home somehow.

It also works with Mainstage 3, which can be tied into PT or Reaper, either as a Rewire host or visa~versa via Sunflower. Nevertheless, it's Mac only.

I'm also happy and relieved that Alchemy lives on. Thank you for Resurrecting it!

Thank's for chiming in :tu:

Two fresh patches from Resurrection in this track. Depending on the source material, the new spectral resynthesis algos can produce really good results. I was pleased how organic the resynthesized cello pizz phrases in one of these patches sounded, and what you can do with them in the formant section, drastically changing the timbres with controllers and LFOs. Also the new FX send and filter routings offer plenty of options for more complex patches.

100% Alchemy 2, some volume automation, nothing else.

Three fresh patches in this track - Djembe Bass meets Timpani Synth meets Ambient Smoothie. After a few days I totally feel at home with the new Alchemy

So, the more I listen, the more it makes me think... But changing DAW for Alchemy is a bit too much, so, I'll keep listening and dreaming.
May this inspire creativity anyway, as a reaction, or kind of a resurrection... :)

All the best, Simon, I'll follow you as always. Ciao!!

Thank's a lot for your eternal support, that's not an empty phrase, I mean it!
Maybe you don't have to change the DAW, but add a DAW to your setup? Besides Alchemy, Logic is a great program, I know every inch of it as I have been using it since Atari days and I can only recommend it to every computer-based musician on this planet.

Here is an impro demo for the patch Spectral Flautato, using multi-sampled violin flautatos in spectral resynthesis mode. The great thing in Alchemy 2 is that we can now use as many spectralized sources in an oscillator/source as we want, in version 1 there was only 1 spectral or additive (or both) sample source per oscillator possible. This gets rid of all the artifacts when transposing resynthesized sounds, juts like in a normal sampler or granulator. Very cool indeed!

This patch morphs between two re-synthesized spectral sources, a bamboo chime texture and a bowed crotales note with a long decay:

This patch uses spectral auto morphing (LFO-controlled) between 4 sources: an expressive cello note, a trombone wahwah sound and two vocal overtone transitions (male and female), quite amazing what this combo morphs into  - some comb-filtering applied as well.

Spectral Cello, mixing multisampled spectralized cello portatos with normal multi-sampling:

Two fresh patches from Resurrection, the lead sound is using spectral morphing between an E-bow and a flute sound. Alchemy 2 does rock!

Amongst other things I sampled some water bells today, 5 different bell sizes drowned in the bathtub, which creates very interesting glissandi and warped bell sounds, there will be multi-sampled patches with round robin and velocity layers, but this patch uses a very long bell scape with already somewhat processed bell textures distributed over 4 morphable sources in Alchemy 2.
