Engine doesn't find VST instruments & effects (OS X)?

Hi guys,
would love to load VST plug-ins into Engine, but the manual just says "it's possible", not describing how to do it. I copied some plug-ins into a sub-folder "VST Plug-Ins" within the root folder (I copied that sub-folder from previous Engine/Independence installations, to make sure it's written correctly). But no plug-ins show up. I copied some 32 and some 64 bit plug-ins, nothing. Same applies to Independence btw.

Did any succeed in loading VSTs into Engine or Independence?

Hi Marco,

i´m sorry but this function was removed by magix some years ago. As far as i know it is available in independence but only for effect plugins not instruments. If you have questions about it please get in touch with magix directly what is possible in independence. For engine it is NOT possible to use vst plugins.

Thanks for letting me know! Just found another thread this morning with that answer :/ And I doubt that Independence will allow it.
