Stereo and Step Pan

How do you use the Stereo and Step Pan? They do not seem to activate on any of the presets?

Step pan only works when Control mode is set to "auto step" and Stereo Mode is set to "single". Then depending on the value of Step Pan, you either get each partial spread across the stereo image (step pan = spread) or you can have the sound alternate between left and right speakers on each step (step pan = alternate) . In both cases the spread control will affect the stereo width.
