Knobs for Bourns Sliders

...and how to do so...

Hi there,

I'm planning to use slide potentiometers from Bourns (PTA series). But as it seems, they don't make any knobs and I have problems finding fitting knobs from other companies. Can anyone tell me, which knobs fit on these sliders? Slim ones would be nice. Or has anyone already experience with other sliders (with 45mm (~1.8in) travel) which may even come with knobs?

Check out the 450-SLXXXX Series from eagle plastic devices or their 450-3050, 450-3051, 450-3052 slide control knobs. You can find them on Mouser's website.

Good luck and good jamming'!

Unfortunately the manufacturer discontinued these knobs.
But just in case anyone ever comes across this thread and wants an answer: My problem was, that I didn't understand what part of the slider's shaft is relevant for the knobs as it is not a simple rectangle. In my case, there seems to be a standard shaft size of 1.2mm x 4mm, which fits perfectly fine with the sliders I want to use. Took me a few hours to get that. :dog:

Thank you anyway Tom!
