I've bought stuff from Aliexpress a couple of times. Most of the time the parts were just as described. Once I got an OLED which didn't match the specs of the part on the page but it still worked.
I can't say if the part you are looking at is a counterfeit, I think it depends on the supplier. I'm always much more wary about obsolete parts like germanium transistors and diodes. I try to find source which others have confirmed are legit, even if they are more expensive.

There was some discussion on DIYSB a couple of years ago about some AC128s which look like them. Take note of RG Keen's comments

cool... looks like a person can take their chances a bit on sourcing, then run some rudimentary tests to see what they've got:

I have yet to be screwed on either Aliexpress or ebay which seem to have many of the same Chinese sellers honestly. The only complaint is they hardly ever to more than throw it in a mailer and ship it (i.e. no padding and so forth) but when you get ten for the price of one everywhere else it hardly matters if one or two have bent IC legs. Of course we are selling out our own countries but then again most mom and pop shops nowadays all stock up from Chinese sellers anyways. So it hardly matters. So to answer, yes most of it is legit and you will be pleased. This has been my experience anyways. Yes I have made my 5th comment now! Time to shut the hell up. Cheers.
So it goes...

Afaik, China sells two grades of AC128. Don't think anybody else still makes these, there wouldn't be much to compare it to either since they don't really sound alike. I believe the transistors are made in Shenzen, couldn't really gather from the mails I had.. My experience with PCB manufacture is pretty good. They arrive a within a week. "would hesitate to send a BOM tho"
Just wanted to add, since the post says parts in the general sense. Don't bet on it, things like super cheap melf resitor kits and all those too good to be true things are out of spec. You'd have to go for a reputable source, they are out there.
