-> input is 9V
-> outputs are 9V, 18V, 12V and -9V.

For few guitar pedal of the market this is needed (a famous is even -9V, I let you find in google ;-) ).

Beautiful!The aesthetics of it grow naturally from the function, nice.

Post

yes, that is certainly the case! at the time my finances were very scarce so it was almost all function very little aesthetics.

This is a very cool thread guys. 8)

Might as well join in. Here's a couple of pics of my Roland V-Drums kit. The acoustic to electronic stuff is all my own work....

I had a heap of pics online of the kit during the building process but the server I had them on is no longer running and I haven't uploaded them again. I might get around to it again some day. If so, I'll add a few here.

In the world of the non rich and non famous, I am my roadie!! Fortunately though, this kit is a pretty much a studio only affair. It was a major mission dismantling, packing, transporting and rebuilding it when I moved interstate though!

There's plenty of that going on! I have a couple of multicore looms in it now. Even then though, there's still spaghetti everywhere!

Thanks to this topic, I'm getting all inspired to dig in and build the modular sequencers I designed years ago but haven't gotten around to constructing. I have the parts laying around in boxes so me thinks it is time to get building!

Wow, even Neil Peart would be jealous of that kit. :D

Plus, with that drum kit there's no need to buy a christmas tree.

:hihi: Always wanted to do add some xmas lights as well, I think they are cool.
Sometimes I use a "black light" bulb, but after a while I feel like if I was on LSD. Image

lol :D
My kit is actually partially inspired by Neil Peart's Roland V-Kit setup. It is also partly inspired by Terry Bozzio's monster, namely this one....

My LSD days are well and truly over and, by the grace of God, I survived without ending up with a head full of scrambled eggs for brains!!

Here's another of my DIY projects. This one is a somewhat simpler affair than my V-Kit. It is a surround sound mic rig based on an extension of the Decca Tree technique.
The mics in this rig are:
1 x AKG C414eb LDC (with original CK12 brass capsule) for center channel mic,
2 x Rode NT2a LDC's for left and right front channels,
2 x Crown PZM and 1 x AKG C451e SDC for Surround channels.

Here's the rig...
