Thanks!

I take it from that, that you haven't pursued the Stylophone project?

Sorry for bringing back a very old thread, but it is nowhere near irrelevant yet. I have started modifying my new stylophone (the new black one) and it seems you can do a pitch bend mod, but I was more interested in adding a tremolo effect. You can build a simple tremolo circuit from an op amp, or you can do what I've done, and make a 555 timer turn on and off a reed relay which cuts the audio signal from the speaker at a rate given by 2 potentiometers (rate and length). I also have an LED which blinks with the timing. I'll finish putting it all together a post a photo or video.

I like the other ideas on here also.

i'm into this too: used to do a roaring trade(ahem) in
stylophones found in markets and exchanged for vouchers up at the local music
exchange, lol, and still have one, which i fully intend to turn into some dirty
m*th*(...). today first day looking for the schematic, not that i know what i'm doing
yet, of course..
wishlist:
figure it could do with cv+gate, and the keyboard could be cut off and cannibalised
as an all-purpose cv input device. what would that require? = a stylophone with detachable k/b
listened to it the other day, and wasn't very impressed though. :( :D
it's been in my junk box for a while. don't mind losing the case, s'pose it could
just serve as a signal generator for testing stuff.

OK: found this:
